Requirements; to carry out a full technical refresh of all legacy tape technologies and design and deploy a virtual tape environment using CentricStor from Fujitsu-Siemens backing up to a Storagetek SL8500 tape library.

Disk-to-Disk-to-Tape Backup Using Oracle RMAN - Products and skills used; Solaris 9, HP-UX 11i, EMC Timefinder/MIrror, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, HP Service Guard, Veritas Netbackup using SSO, Oracle 10g and 9i, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Storagetek SL8500, ACSLS, EMC DMX-3 disk array, testing, full documention, and skills transfer.

Requirements; to design and deploy a replacement of all Oracle backups using Timefinder/Mirror with Oracle RMAN backups to disk. A backup to tape was then taken using Veritas Netbackup.
