The customer's application could run on either Hewlett Packard's or SUN's flavour of UNIX; HP-UX or Solaris.
Their main in-house technical knowledge was Solaris on SUN and Fujitsu servers. Due to price, the customer chose to run their applications on a mixture of Hewlett Packard Itanium servers.
However, as they did not have the indepth knowledge of Hewlett Packard's hardware and software our consultants were engaged to assist with their project.
